Sambandha, Abhidheya and Prayojana are the three Transcendental Truths which are compared to the stairs to claimb, as well as the basic of a Vaisnava Philosophy and also the essential constituents which are mutually corresponding to each other, merging one another. 

Everyone of us is a very individual persona with a very individual mood, sensitivity and capacity to accept a certain amount of spiritual knowledge, spiritual realizations and divine wisdom. We are like a vessels into which a certain amount of staff is to be situated. This is a very natural process of rising consciousness, like on the first floor of a high building one can see only some things around, but on the fifty six floor the view is much more broad and one is more conscious what is around the building and as well around the whole area of that building, he sees more broadly and more freely all around. As this is natural so natural is also the position of each individual, therefore God, Krsna distinguishes this whole process of self realization of rising consciousness in a Yoga Ladder, which we are discussing on the page: http://SpiritualYogaLadder.page.tl/.

Not only one sees more broadly on the higher levels of this Ladder but also is closer and closer to the Axle of that serpent like way up, and this Axle is no one else but God, Krsna Himself in the Centre, so here the realizations go one on two positions of individual Self-realization on a vertical way and realization of becoming closer and closer to God on different, particular platforms, levels.

This whole spectrum of realizations is very scientific and unavoidable to pass through when finally one comes to the level of Bhakti Yoga and devotional service to the Lord in it's pure state. On that position the influences of external reality are very effectively removed in more intense and more conscious way. God Himself is directly engaged in that process and is personally guiding His devotee through the process of purification. Before the sadhaka or participant of the self realization process was going through more or less mechanical states of purification through the regulative Sadhana Bhakti rules and regulations up to the realization of Paramatma feature of the Lord, then he goes through spontaneous process described in 'Bhakti Rasamrta Sindu' by Rupa Gosvami, Raganuga Bhakti and is following the steps of the Associates of the Lord which has a place still inside the Material World. To finally come to the process of Ragatmika platforms where the devotee acts as an Associate of the Lord.

This steps are characterised by Sambandha, Abhidheya and Prayojana adequately corresponding to them.

First the sadhaka is recognising the relationships he has with others, with the Lord's Energies and with God alone on Sambandha stage. Then he is more spontaneous and starts his more intense process of purification which is not so easy in it's complexity and many tests of Abhidheya stage, and finally he comes to the Goal, learning to serve the Lord as His associate directly on Prayojana stage which is even more complex and unfotrunately misunderstood by other,  called 'hard bhakti' . 
Sambandha level delivers one from past Karma Yoga and ignorance,  Abhidheya from Jana Yoga and passion,  Prayojana level from Astanga Yoga and goodness,  situating one on pure unalloyed transcendental position. 
What is also natural and important one cannot jump up to the higher levels above his own capasity of consciousness and ability to follow higher processes. The whole idea is to humbly accept one's own level and cooperate with God to rise consciousness higher and higher and have a conviction and faith that He, with His versalite help will guide us gradually through this one for all of us way of self realization. 

This all processes one after the other suppot and guide us on the path back to Godhead, passing ultimately through the 'Last Door' up to the real factual Spiritual World where there is no more tests, no more demands, where the association of God is naturally fluently easy and sublime, undisturbed and unmotivated. Where the Lord is realized in His feature of fullness as 'One Radha Krsna God' to whom we can finally really serve.
